Post 8, Summer Holidays
Write about your future summer holidays
Mention:
- Places you are going (or would like) to visit
- People you are going to / would like to be with
- Activities you are thinking of being part of.
You have to write 240 words.
Example:
As I see It, 2017 was quite a bumpy ride, full of unexpected turns and detours. But in the end, I think it is going to finish all right. I have no doubt that next year will be much quieter, I am really looking forward to keep on studying and getting into new projects.
As far as I am concerned, the summer holidays will be a time to rest and concentrate on what is going to happen after. Since I am just a part-time teacher, getting the next job is always a matter of preparation, good timing and luck.
Anyways, I would like to keep it quite a bit, stay with my loved ones and not worry too much. I know it doesn't sound that exciting, but up to now I have been going out a lot less and spending much more.
Living on your own has its costs, and one of them is not being able to travel a lot. When I was younger holidays were the perfect chance to get out of the city and get into unexpected adventures. As far as I am concerned, being able to keep working on art projects is an adventure in itself.
After having said that, I am still planning to do some traveling in the future, although I'd like to connect them with my professional life. Therefore, an Artist-in-residency program wouldn't be bad at all.
Last March I was lucky to be part of a project that involved staying at a house devoted to this (Casa Poli). It was a great experience since I could share with the local people, and get to know about their lives. All of this helped me to reflect upon what means to travel, and how it shapes our future decisions.
Henceforth, from this summer on, I will start working on a project that allows me to get back to this same place. There are still plenty of things to do.
