Well, This is an awkward question for me, since I am currently working and actually, I enjoy my job a lot. Today I realize that it is quite different from what I thought It would be when I was studying way back in the early 2000's. All in all, I think it is a nice living.
Regarding my future plans, I would love to continue teaching, I have found a lot of happiness working with people. Nonetheless, I would like to travel some more, but making it count. I would like to travel to different parts of Chile, in order to meet and learn new customs and ways of living.
I know it sounds a bit naive for some, but I truly believe that teaching is not just a matter of passing down information in an efficient way, but more about sharing experiences and enhancing people's perspectives about life and their opportunities.
More accordingly, we need to make our best effort in order to fight ignorance and prejudice, poverty is not just a material issue but a cultural matter as well.
If I had to change something, I with smaller groups of students, so I could get to know them better. For the time being, I have no serious concerns about money, even though I should be thinking about my future and start saving some money.
For middle-class people, having a steady income is a must if you pursue other creative endeavors.
On a different note, I just finished my BA in Art, and that is a field I am always integrating into my teaching. I think that Art is a unique space to reveal what is both hidden and evident in our day and age. I would definitely like an Art related job, that would let me meet another people, and see how we can make sense of the world together.
I think that teaching, its a very way to learn, because, the contact with different people make grow up your world. Nice Dani
